The purpose of the objects and structures I make is to physically manifest my own fundamental ideals, beliefs, experiences, and views. For me, each piece is both a conquest of self-awareness and understanding, as well as a reflection of existence through my own eyes. For the viewer, each is an opportunity for the same self examination, but within a more discrete and private, yet less tangible context.
In the creation of my work I primarily utilize additive, construction techniques with industrial materials; however, I am not strictly reliant on either. Each idea dictates its own material and the process in which it will be concretely realized. It is essential that each finished work exemplify the innate properties of the materials and methods employed to create them.
To begin, maintain, and finish a work with integrity is my only rule. There must be an honest, rational conception of the idea, an honest methodology in the problem solving and creation, and an honest justification of the result.
